Mike Richardson, założyciel wydawnictwa Dark Horse, w wywiadzie jakiego udzielił jakiś czas temu zdradził, że Randy Stradley rozgląda się za możliwościami powrotu do serii Crimson Empire i naprostowania kilku sprzeczności, jakie wytworzyły się pomiędzy jej ostatnią częścią Council of Blood a prequelami. Możliwe, iż jest to tajemniczy projekt wydawnictwa, o którym kilka tygodni temu wspominała Sue Rostoni.

Crimson Empire nie powróci

"Nie mam czasu na pisanie w najbliższej przyszłości. I, szczerze mówiąc, po upływie tak wielu lat w zasadzie nie interesuje mnie kontynuacja czy też kończenie tej historii", napisał Randy Stradley na forach wydawnictwa Dark Horse, komentując wieść, jakoby komiksowa seria Crimson Empire miała doczekać się kontynuacji.

"Poza tym podejście, jakie chciałbym, aby obrał ewentualny przyszły scenarzysta, jest niemożliwe w powstałej od tego czasu chronologii", pisze dalej Stradley, "tak więc, mimo iż Mike faktycznie wspominał o projekcie, nie istnieje on naprawdę, nie są prowadzone żadne prace w tym zakresie i nie ma go w planach wydawniczych Dark Horse".
